18 to 21 inch bears are shot every year using our services. It is not uncommon to see spring bears in the 300-500lb. range.
We
recommend that you book to hunt after the first week of May. The action at
the baits becomes more stable and the weather begins to moderate
after the first week of May.
We hunt in Zones 18, 22, 23, and 24. Much of
our hunting is done on private land that we own in Zones 22 and 23
and on Crown land in Zones 18 and 24.
We
use permanent closed-in tree stands, ground blinds, tripods, ladder
stands, climbers, and hang-on stands, depending on location and
individual hunter ability.
Trophy
Safaris wants hunters to feel good about their booking and offers
references on request, also, we always welcome calls to the lodge to speak
directly to the hunters in camp.
ATTENTION Bear Hunters. Bear hunting can be challenging! Trophy hunting is TOUGH WORK so be aware ahead of time that this is a Trophy operation that hunts not just for bears but for BIG bears. We are big on Trophy Hunts for the above average animals and sometimes this means we hunt in difficult areas. We encourage hunters to be totally upfront about ability, experience and fitness. Trying to correct situations after arrival always impacts hunters' chances of tagging.
